Applications for Listed Building Consent and Conservation Area Consent
LPAs should exercise their discretion about whether an application for listed building consent raises fire safety matters relevant to planning. HSE will comment on any full planning application for the development of a relevant building that is also a listed building, or which affects the setting of a listed building.
Applications for Conservation Area Consent are unlikely to raise fire safety matters unless the proposed works have implications for fire service access.
