What to expect from your Planning Guidance call
To get the most out of your Planning Guidance call, the more information you provide during your booking, the better our Planners can tailor their advice to your specific property or project. By sharing relevant details about your queries and project, you'll help us prepare and provide additional context that you may find useful; ensuring you receive the most accurate and useful guidance during your call.
Session format
Your consultation will take place over the phone (we’ll call you) and be led by one of our qualified in-house Planners. You’ll receive a call from your assigned Planner at the phone number you provided during booking. The call will typically last up to 30 minutes but may be shorter if we can address your queries quickly.
What to bring or prepare
For a productive, personalised session, please have the following ready:
- Relevant planning documents or drawings: If you’ve submitted any documents during booking, great! If not, please have them on hand so we can discuss the specifics of your project.
- Notes and questions: Prepare any questions or concerns you want to cover. This will help us focus on what matters most to you and ensure we address all aspects of your project.
Example questions you might want to ask (make as relevant to your specific project as possible):
- Do I need planning permission for a conservatory?
- Can you offer planning permission advice for my house extension?
- Do I need planning permission for an attic conversion?
- How much does a planning application cost?
- Can you explain the 10-year planning rule and how it applies to my project?
- What if my new house doesn’t have planning permission history?
- What’s the difference between a location plan and a site location plan?
- Do I need retrospective consent for my property?
- What is retrospective planning permission, and when is it required?
- How can I get clear planning guidance for my specific project?
By coming prepared with the right documents and a list of questions, you’ll ensure your session is as productive as possible, leaving you with the clarity and confidence to move forward with your project.
