Planning Gateway One - Pre application service

Applicants and local planning authorities requesting pre-application advice on fire safety matters should email the request to planninggatewayone@hse.gov.uk¹ . It is for the applicant to decide the most appropriate person in their project team to make the request, whether that’s an architect, fire engineer, planner or project manager.

In the email it is useful for HSE to know the site address, contact details for the main point of contact and whether a meeting or written advice is being requested.

Following a request, the Planning Gateway One team will confirm receipt and ask for information about the proposed development. This can be provided at the same time as the request, please see below for the standard list of information that is requested.
