I have paid for my application, why is it still showing as ‘payment pending’?

Once you, or a nominated party, have paid, the application will remain in ‘Payment pending’ status until the payment has been received by us and cleared.

When the payment process is complete, the status will change to ‘Submitted to LPA’, and the application will then be available for the local authority to download.

Once the local authority has downloaded the application, the status will change to ‘Received by LPA’.

We recommend paying for your application online or by bank transfer (ideally using the ‘Faster Payments Service’ if available) as these are the quickest payment methods.

We also recommend that when nominating another party to pay, you discuss this with them, so that they are aware of the need to make the payment, and of the quickest way to do so.

For payment timescales view our FAQ 'How long does it take for my payment to reach the LPA?'1
