What information is published regarding government application fee changes?

From Planning Portal

We will maintain a blog post with all relevant details leading up to the change

We will also provide a ‘forthcoming’ fee schedule3 that gives a quick reference guide to the changes and links to source information.

Warning notices informing users of the change will be displayed on the application service, and email notifications from the payment service will also include advice about the forthcoming changes.

Local authorities and higher volume users will also be sent email communications.

From Government

It is generally expected that government will provide:

  • Details of the progress of the amending statutory instrument through its parliamentary approval process on the UK parliament website4
  • The amending statutory instrument in its draft and final versions on legislation.gov.uk5
  • A chief planners newsletter, published on Gov.uk6 and sent to all local authorities detailing the changes once the date was confirmed.
  • A schedule of fees confirming the changed values and amount of inflationary uplift.
