What are the transaction limits for the Nominate payment option?

There are no transaction limits specific to the nominate option, but there is a transaction limit for some payment methods. 

There is a limit of £1,000 when paying by debit or credit card, online or by phone. This limit applies to both the nominate option and direct payments. If the fee for your application is over this limit you will be presented with the option to pay by bank transfer or cheque. 

Please ensure that you (or your client, if you are an agent) uses the application reference number, beginning 'PP' (for planning applications) or 'BC' (for building control applications) as a reference when making any payment, otherwise we won't be able to match the payment to the application.

Please note: the application will be released to the local authority considerably faster when opting to pay by bank transfer.
