Registered building control approvers can receive applications submitted on the Planning Portal if they are listed in the Building Control Approver Directory; your listing enables customers to find and choose your business.  

The new-look Building Control Portal is simple to use and is a familiar experience to those used to our Planning Portal. By listing in the directory, your business can be selected by applicants at the 'create an application' stage, so they can choose your service at a crucial point in the application process.

Features of the Building Control Portal

Our integrated platform combines planning and building control, allowing applicants to use the data from a submitted planning application to populate key areas of their building control application. 

The service allows applicants to attach documents, request a fee, pay for, and submit applications seamlessly. It streamlines the entire building control process, enhancing efficiency and convenience for both building control bodies and applicants. 

Just as with planning, the application service provides a streamlined online payment system for all building control applications, with the option to nominate a client to make a payment for added convenience.
