Outdoor swimming pool

Planning permission is not usually required to install an outdoor domestic swimming pool as a pool is often considered a garden project.

However, it is always recommended that you check with your Local Planning Authority, particularly if your property or the surrounding area has any of the following classifications:

Designated land
National park
Greenbelt land
Listed building
Conservation area
