Land contamination
Check if any other permissions or consents are needed
Some activities subject to planning may also require an Environmental Permit. Advice may be given by the planning consultees who respond to the planning application as to whether a permit is required for your activity.
Note: The issuing of environmental permits is a separate process. Granting of planning permission does not guarantee that a permit will be issued.
You may need to contact your Local Authority1 if you require a Local Authority permit or Part B authorisation e.g. for use of mobile crushing and screening plant.
You may need an Environment Agency environmental permit or consent2 for the development or any associated works.
You may also need a Materials Management Plan3 (MMP) for the management and reuse of excavated materials.
