Introduction to appeals

Appeals are managed and determined by the Planning Inspectorate¹. The Planning Inspectorate is an executive agency sponsored by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities².

In addition to appeals, the Planning Inspectorate deals with national infrastructure planning applications, examinations of local plans and other planning-related and specialist casework in England and Wales.
